1) The US is withholding arms from Israel. 2) This is part of a strategy of pressuring Israel to stop the war. 3) The major concern of the administration is not Gaza, as it claims, and certainly not humanitarian concerns related to Gaza, but to prevent war in Lebanon, because of the implications that the conflict in Lebanon has for US and Iran.
In today's Israeli press, these claims are reported as a scoop. Here, for example, is Shirit Avital Cohen in Israel HaYom:
"For three months, Israeli security officials have been warning about the dramatic slowdown in weapons shipments. This does not relate to one shipment of bombs, as the administration confirmed, but WE CAN REPORT FOR THE FIRST TIME that this refers to a range of armaments.
"In talks with the Americans, Israel expressed its dissatisfaction with the ongoing delay, but the prime minister also warns the Americans explicitly that 'a delay in weapons shipments only hastens all-out warwith Hizbullah.'
"Despite the warnings sounded on this topic by Netanyahu and other senior defense officials to their American counterparts, the Americans have so far either denied there is a problem or said they would address it—something that has not happened. 'There have been talks for months. We talk and talk and nothing happens,' one official involved in the details told Israel Hayom. The senior officials say that only the pressure currently being exerted by Netanyahu is likely to lead to the release of the delayed shipments."
